It's hard to believe that we're coming up on an entire year since the covid pandemic started.  If you would have told me at the start of 2020 that we were about to be entering a period of time where we'd be enduring a multi-year global pandemic that would upend our normal way of life, disrupt economies around the world, create massive political and social division and thrust us all into a "new normal", I would have said you've been watching too many sci-fi movies.  Yet, here we are.
