It's times like this that I'm especially grateful for music and the role it plays in my life.  Since this whole crazy situation started, I've instinctively turned more and more to music and my love of music to help me get through these strange and challenging times.   I've been writing and recording a new song a day, as well as performing a song a day on the rooftop of the building I live in with my two neighbors.

This routine of writing and performing music is one of the things I look forward to the most each day.  Ironically, I've been making a lot more music since this whole Covid-19 situation started.  I guess it's just my way of taking my mind off the endless cycle of depressing news and the increasing amount of time I'm spending inside.  Whatever it is, I feel more stoked to make music and write music than ever.  Making music doesn't feel like a luxury at the moment, it feels like a necessity.

Tomorrow I'll be touching base with producer Gary Gray to record a podcast all about how to survive and thrive during these challenging times as a musician.  We're also planning a webinar for members of the HTLYM community where we'll be discussing the same topic in depth.  I'll be announcing more details regarding both the podcast and webinar soon.
