Streaming, my friends, is here to stay. Streaming your music on platforms like Spotify is a great way to gain more exposure for your music and generate additional revenue, in combination with
things like licensing, performing, merchandise, etc.
Now, I’m not going to lie and tell you it’s easy to generate lots of revenue from streaming your music. The per song earnings are still ridiculously low and it takes a substantial amount of streams to
generate real income. But, it’s possible, and with some proper planning and strategizing you can start generating income with your tracks.
I just got my fist substantial payment for my streams on Spotify after months of promoting my tracks, submitting my songs to playlists and so on. It felt great to be able to add another revenue stream to
the mix, and I’m sure the payments will continue to increase in size as I continue to add songs to my Spotify catalog and continue to promote them to more and more playlists.
If you’d like to learn more about promoting your music on Spotify, I’ve put together a few resources for you that will help you get your tracks more streams on Spotify and generate more
income.
