As a lot of you know, I've been focusing on Spotify a lot over the last six months or so. As recently as last November I had just 40 followers and a handful of monthly streams. Every time I checked my Spotify numbers I would get a little depressed.
I knew there had to be a way to get my numbers up and attract more listeners and fans.
I vowed last November to do everything in my power to make more of an impact on Spotify and to try and really figure out the platform and get a feel for what works and what doesn't.
My main strategy in attracting more followers has been getting featured on playlists. I started reaching out to Spotify Playlist Curators and have been featured on about a dozen or so different playlists over the last few months. Some of them didn't really make much of a difference at all, but a few of them have generated thousands of streams.
Each month, over the last six months my numbers have gone up. The past month or so has seen the biggest increase, with a current average of almost 10k streams per month, which is an increase of over 12,000%
