Dealing With Rejection In The Music Business

Published: Fri, 06/23/17

I just posted a new video on my Youtube Channel about how to deal with rejection in the music business.  Getting rejected is par for the course for most professional musicians.  No matter how great you are, not everyone is going to like what you do.

Having thick skin and not letting rejections get you down is critical if you're hoping to make music professionally.  Every no discarded is a step forward.

When it comes to licensing music, there are a variety of reasons why people might pass on your tracks.  It could be because your tracks simply aren't good enough.  It might be because your music isn't needed by whoever you're pitching to. It could be because the production is lacking and so on.

In the following video I discuss how to deal with rejection and how to parlay the feedback you get from rejection and turn it into something positive that will allow you to move forward in your career.
