The replay for the Licensing & Production Webinar I did with Dave Kusek and Gary Gray this past Monday will be available for a few more days and you can see it here: https://youtu.be/TbB8SoyZQMc
But first, I want to share a story with you...
One of my clients, Eddie Grey (who is featured in the webinar above) got 500 songs and tracks placed in licensing deals in one year alone including ABC’s Shark Tank and the X Games. 500!
It seems like an unreal
number. But composer and songwriter Eddie Grey made it happen in 2015.
And so far in 2016 he’s gotten his music placed in the Life on the Line trailer, the title track for the Pigman series, scored a multi-album publishing deal with Megatrax, and he’s the composer for season 2 of A&E’s Born this Way.
How on earth did he do it?
Two and a half years ago Eddie was at rock bottom. He had it in his mind to
be a “rock star” just like so many of us, but he lost all motivation.
He spent a month at home playing video games not sure what he was doing to do with his life, and then something crazy happened.
He saw an extra $1500 hit his bank account - money from licensing deals he had planted the seeds for a year prior. And that’s when it clicked for him.
He dove into licensing full force with only a basic laptop and a version of Logic
(believe it or not, the track for the Life on the Line trailer was created on this rig).
In December of 2015, he decided his next step was to get a TV composer gig, and he dedicated himself to it 100%. He spent months making connections, emailing, cold calling, pulling on his network, and following up.
When he finally heard back he was given 2 days to write something for the show Born this Way. Another writer was also
being considered and he was new to this industry so this was his one chance to make an impression.
After two intense days of hustling to get the track done, he walked away with a salaried position as a staff composer with A&E in March.
That is what it takes to make things really happen for you. Two and a half years of 100% focus and dedication to your dreams. If Eddie Grey can go from the couch
to a licensing legend, you can get there from wherever you are now.
If you’re not sure how to take the first step, the 180 Day Music Licensing Challenge is the kickstart you need to start moving forward. That’s exactly what Eddie did, and he cites the program as being the real kick to get the momentum

Here is what people say about
THE 180 DAY MUSIC LICENSING CHALLENGE
"Thanks to you and your courses I've had placements on A&E, MTV, Hyundai and have recently
been included on many compilation CD's through Amazon. I'm making some money with streams. Last quarter I had 38,000 streams. Pretty cool... all thanks to you and all the good info from your courses." - Doug Michael
"A couple of months ago, had a song placed in an ABC Family show called The Fosters. My music was in their catalog as A DIRECT RESULT of taking the action steps in YOUR PROGRAM. You're humble and
down-to-earth and ...YOU KNOW YOUR STUFF! I have a great deal of respect for you and how you've helped me and continue to help so many musicians monetize their art." - Javier Silva
"I just wanted to let you know that the Music Licensing Company that I signed with last Winter, has gotten my music placed four times in the last month in a TV show called Human Resources. I did one of your programs a year or two back and
one of your programs got me linked with this first deal. Thanks!" - Turner Horton
"I just wanted to thank you for a lovely course and for doing what you do. Not to mention all the inspiring stories and emails. I've had some really nice success being published on a few sites. I got a huge buyout deal for my classical piano recordings from one site in particular that is awesome and still ongoing. As
well had one purchase of some of my electronic music. I think one of the best things the course has taught me is how to be organized with my music. Getting things done, finishing projects and getting it out there. As well the standards in mastering, different file formats and what people are looking for. Developing relationships with different companies and figuring out what they like." - James Langevin
