Speaking of my podcast, In my latest episode, I speak with Jan Seedman from Cadium Music.

After years of working at various publishing and record companies, Jan Seedman formed Cadium Music Publishing.  With a background in talent acquisition, Seedman discovered groups such as Nickelback (which went on to become Group of the Decade and have the Song of the Decade, according to Billboard) and Stone Temple Pilots, among others, totaling sales of over 50 million albums worldwide.  Seedman took the best of what the majors had to offer and applied it to Cadium, while keeping the focus on top-flight talent, regardless of the background and pedigree of the writer.  The company has gone on to sign writers who have won Juno awards, had placements in TV shows such as Criminal Minds, Medium and Revolution, among others, placements in Academy Award-nominated films such as Collateral, and co-written albums with Ozzy Osbourne, Disturbed, Slash and Five Finger Death Punch.
