A lot of people talk about how hard the music business
is. They talk about how it's so hard to
make a living as a musician these days. They talk about How record sales are in
the toilet and how it's almost impossible to make it as a musician. And although I understand that when people
say things like this they're really talking about how hard it's become to make
it as a performing musician and songwriter of original music, I feel like all
this pessimism about the music business is really detrimental to the music
community as a whole. The idea of the
struggling artist is certainly nothing new, but this stereotype is unfortunate
and I think it's really misleading. I
don't think artists and musicians have to struggle that much.
I just posted a new video on my Youtube channel where I discuss a straightforward and realistic way to make $60,000 a year working 25 hours a week as a musician.
