Are you taking full advantage of your Performing Rights Organization membership? PRO's are non-profit organizations that exist to support artists in a variety of ways.
The most well known function of Performing Rights Organizations are to collect and distribute payments owed to writers for airplay on radio, TV, Film and more. But PRO's do much more than this. They also provide a lot of additional resources such as articles interviews and live conferences and events.
All three of the US based PRO's offer conferences and events throughout the year that provide incredible networking opportunities for their members. Depending on where you live, there might be events near you that you don't even know about.
If you haven't already, be sure to check your PRO's website on a regular basis to see if there are events or other resources that you can take advantage of.

If you are in the US and not already a member of a PRO, you have three options.
I'm personally a member of ASCAP and have had a great experience with them. I've never not been paid for any of my placements, at least that I know of. But I encourage you to do your own research and select a PRO you feel you are the best fit with.
