Marketing Your Music Online Part 2

Hi ,

Last week I sent out an email about a new music marketing system that was developed by a friend of mine, major label recording artist JohnOszajca. In case you missed it, you can check it out at:

Music Marketing Manifesto

I was kind of overwhelmed with questions about just what exactly the system was and what was involved, so I thought I'd answer a few of those questions in an effort to help clear a few things up.

Basically what John figured out was that the money was in the mailing list, and that rather than simply going out and spending thousands on touring and press in order to carve out a following one fan at a time, it was wiser to figure out where your future record buyers already were online, and jump right in front of that traffic with the help of a few simple tactics that internet marketers have been using for years.  Once you really get how these methods work, gaining new fans online is MUCH more efficient than playing live shows and trying to win over new fans one at a time.

What I mean by this is this... lets imagine the average fan of your band is typically a fan of Radio Head as well. Well then in order to attract more fans, a great place to start might be with radio head fans. Makes Sense, right? So how do you attract them?

By doing a little simple research and finding out what their search patterns are online, and then creating a few basic articles that are designed to pull in their searches. Of course, these articles will ultimately link back to your website and an offer for a free track or several free tracks in exchange for the visitors email address. Once on your list, you tailor a very specific email message series that is designed to develop a relationship with your new fans and ultimately get them to buy your CD and music.

The best part is that once you get the system up and running it runs all by itself, 24/7 on complete autopilot. You can literally create fans in your sleep.

Anyway, this stuff really does work folks. I only wish I had gotten started sooner on this. To take a look at John's Music Marketing Manifesto go to:

Hope that claered a few things up.

Happy Songwriting!
