Persistence Pays - Success Stories - Super Economic Stimulus Offer!

Hi ,
If there's one piece of advice I would give first and foremost to anyone interested in licensing their music it's that this is a business where it truly pays to be persistent. It's cliche and I'm sure you've heard it before, but it's a cliche for a reason. It's true! Of course you don't want to be persistent moving in the wrong direction, but assuming you're educated about the industry and you have the proper tools to get started, it's important that you keep moving forward with an attitude of both patience and persistence.
I was reminded of this fact twice this week. The first reminder came via a client who purchased my program on the licensing business close to a year ago and recently emailed me excited about a recent deal he was offered through one of the contacts he made using my directory. I'm always really excited to hear about this kind of success! It's truly a confirmation that with the right education and the proper execution this is a business that is open to all musicians. Congratulations to Jade for his success.
The second reminder came by way of my own new music marketing service, Renegade Music Marketing. I've been promoting the roster of artists I'm working with for several months now and more and more seeds are starting to grow. I recently was contacted by a company that I contacted close to three months ago that is interested in working with a number of the artists I represent.
Both of these events are reminders of the need to be both patient and persistent. Three months is really no time at all in the Music Business. Companies in this business get busy and it can take time to hear back from people working in the music business. But if you plant enough seeds and you water them consistently (ie, follow up!) you will start to see results!
And finally, like a lot of people I've been thinking a lot about the economy lately. Not in a negative way, but in a solution oriented sort of way. Both from the perspective of a business owner as well as a musician. And the more I think about the situation, the more I keep coming back to the same two solutions, which are both interconnected and depend on each other. In order get our economy back on track and keep it healthy we all really need to do two things, at least in my opinion.
Those two are things are:
1) First and foremost, we need to cultivate ways to make more money. The more marketable skills you have, the more protected you are regardless of what's happening with the economy as a whole.
2) We need to keep spending money, in a fiscally responsible way, on products and services that we need, including products that will assist us with #1.
The more I think about this the more excited I get. I created my program in order to encourage others to learn how to license and make money from their music. Music is an art first and foremost of course, but as professional musicians we need to learn how to make a living with our music in order to survive and keep making more music! It's with the above ideas in mind that I'm currently offering my program, The A-Z Of Music Licensing with email coaching for a savings of twenty dollars off the regular price. Get the entire program with the directory and one on one email coaching for less than $50.00
if you order between now and Sunday.
I created The A-Z Of Music Licensing about a year ago based on everything I've learned about the music licensing and music publishing business. I walk you through the exact steps I took to get started and I show you how you can do the same. I also cover the technical side of the industry, I go over things like how you get paid, how copyrighting works, how to present yourself professionally, how to record music on a budget and much, much more! The program also comes with an updated directory of WHO to send your music to. There are over 130 listings for publishers, supervisors, music libraries, etc... I've heard nothing but good things about my program. Here are just a few of the actual emails I've received from people who purchased "The A-Z Of Music Licensing":
Aaron,How are you? My name is Tim Byrd and I purchased your online version of your program. It's great.
Hello Aaron,
I thought I would pass on to you the fact that I also got my whole catalogue (47 tunes) signed to one of the libraries in your directory.
Thanks for your help!
Colin

Hello Aaron.
I just ordered and downloaded your audio files and .pdf files and though I haven't put in effect any of your ideas, I see where you are headed.
I think this is some wonderful information and will soon be using it.Hello Aaron,
I sent you an email a few weeks ago asking about your thoughts of pitching my music ( Mostly Blues & Jazz ....But also Guitar instrumentals, folk, French cabaret, Christmas and some Traditional Country )and actually making any money at the library thing. Your reply was that these genres were not yours and you couldn't really comment on that domain .
I appreciated your honest answer and went ahead and bought your repertoire of libraries, publishers etc...
Well here's the lowdown after 3 weeks of hard work sending emails and submitting songs online and via CD by mail.
I've signed deals for 27 songs and there's another 60 or so that are being screened as I write this email....
Out of all the addresses I've checked so far there wasn't ONE library that I knew ( that's good ), because through the other independent company I was a member of I had made connections with about 10 libraries and have signed in less than a year about 100 songs with companies in L.A., Texas, U.K. etc.and had one placement on The Everybody Hates Chris TV Show....So a total of 127 + songs...And 60 + in waiting...
