When I originally created this newsletter and my corresponding websites it was my goal to help empower other musicians to learn how to make money licensing their music by providing both free materials and more in depth materials at a reasonable cost. This goal still remains. I believe in being altruistic and helping others which is why I strive to give away as much information as I can. Of course, like everybody else I have bills to pay and since I spend a LOT of time writing these newsletters and creating the products that I've created on music licensing I need to be compensated for my time. And although I'm by no means getting rich providing the information I'm providing, I'm making enough to keep writing these free newsletters and to keep providing as much great information as I can for anyone who is interested.
So what is the point of this email? Well two things: First of all, thanks to everyone who has purchased my directory and/or program, The A-Z Of Music Licensing. I sincerely appreciate your support and I'm happy to provide information that I know so many of you have found valuable thanks to all your supportive emails.
Secondly, I want to reiterate that if you're a musician reading this email it remains my goal to help you develop the skills and acquire the tools you need to successfully license your music, regardless of whether or not you buy my products. Well here's the lowdown after 3 weeks of hard work sending emails and submitting songs online and via CD by mail.
I've signed deals for 27 songs and there's another 60 or so that are being screened as I write this email....
Out of all the addresses I've checked so far there wasn't ONE library that I knew ( that's good ), because through the other independent company I was a member of I had made connections with about 10 libraries and have signed in less than a year about 100 songs with companies in L.A., Texas, U.K. etc.and had one placement on The Everybody Hates Chris TV Show....So a total of 127 + songs...And 60 + in waiting...
