How To Get Your Songs In TV and Film

Published: Sun, 08/31/08

Hi ,

When I first started getting my songs placed in Television shows I started getting approached by a lot of musicians wanting to know how they could pursue licensing their songs as well.  It seemed like an area that very few musicians knew that much about.  Some of my musician friends seemed vageuly familiar with the concept, but overall there seemed to be a lot of confusion on how the business really works and how to go about getting started.

I got asked so frequently about music licensing that I started looking around for other resources that could point people in the right direction.  I was surprised too find that there was very little information on how to go about licensing your songs for use in TV and Film and the information I could find seemed to be vague and incomplete.  That's when I came up with the idea of creating a program that would provide all the information needed to start licensing your music in one place.  I spent quite a bit of time writing down and organizing everything I knew about the business and did some additional research as well to cover any gaps in my knowledge.

The result of all my work is a program that truly covers everything you need to know in order to start licensing your songs and making money with your music.  I call the program "The A-Z Of Music Licensing".  I cover things like:

·Copyrighting Your Music
·What To Say When You Make Contact
·Who To Contact
·Music Licensing
·Music Publishers
·Music Supervisors
·What To Say When You Make Contact
·Styles Of Music That Are Used
·Perfoming Rights Organizations
·Production Quality Issues
·Types Of Deals
·How Licensing Fees Work
·How Music Royalties Work
·Why Your Music Is Needed
·Music In Video Games
·Types Of Writing Assignments
·Tips For Increasing Your Chances Of Getting Your Songs Placed
·Subject Matter.... and more!

I also did an interview with Michael Redman, the owner of My Music Source.com. Michael has several decades worth of experience in the business and he gives a ton of great tips and insights on how to get started.  There is aso an industry directory included in the program so that after you learn all the technical information about the business you'll be able to start submitting your material right away.

If you're serious about licensing your music and generating a passive income stream with your music the be sure to check out my program "

I'll work with you personally both via the phone and email to help you develop a game plan based on your own unique situation that you can implement immediately.
