When I was a student at Berklee College of Music, one of my songwriting teachers shared something that stuck with me for life.
One day during class, she mentioned that she needed a blues song for an episode of the TV show E.R she was helping to find music
for. She told the room of over forty students that if anyone had something that might work, they should come see her after class and she’d consider pitching it.
Out of the entire class, only two people stayed after to talk to her. I was one of them.
I didn’t end up landing that particular placement, but I
did something more important that day. I showed up. I raised my hand. I took the opportunity.
And that small moment led to something much bigger.
That same teacher and I stayed in touch after Berklee. Years later, we ended up working together regularly. She launched a publishing company, and
we built a real working relationship that lasted for years.
All because I stayed after class. All because I showed up.
That’s what I’ve learned again and again over the last twenty years. The people who succeed are not always the most talented. They are the ones who keep
showing up. The ones who raise their hand. The ones who say yes even when they are not totally sure they are ready.
That’s why I created The Sync Tank.
It’s a place for serious musicians who are ready to stop pitching blindly and start licensing their music with purpose. It’s for the ones who are willing to show up.
And if that sounds like you, this is your moment.
You still have a
chance to save one hundred dollars if you join before this Sunday.

It is easy to sit back and think about it. It is easy to say you will do it next time. But showing up now might be the thing that changes everything.
