Today I have a great, free, video tutorial from producer Gary Gray on how to set up a mixing session for sync licensing. In this 20 minute video, Gary walks you through his process and approach to setting up a mixing session when working on tracks specifically for music licensing and goes over the basics of mixing for sync.
Gary and I have licensed a lot of music together over the last few years and he's been instrumental in helping me get my tracks from the demo and "rough mix" stage to the fully produced, mixed and mastered, "commercial quality", ready to be licensed stage.
Later this week I'm going to share with you a before and after of a recent track that we worked on together that was recently placed in a major network project.
